The project
Northerncult came to us as a designer lighting brand serving North America with a catalog too good for a template store. We engineered a full ecommerce build around it: product architecture for more than 100 fixtures, trade partner funnels for designers and contractors, lighting calculators that help buyers choose, and a content engine built to rank. The result is a premium store that sells the way the products deserve.
A catalog this size fails on navigation before it fails on design. We built the category structure, filtering and product templates around how buyers actually shop for fixtures, by room, by style, by fitting type and by scale, so a visitor lands on a collection rather than a search box.
Designers and contractors buy differently to consumers, so they get their own path. Separate entry points, trade account capture and a follow up flow built for people who specify in volume rather than buy one pendant.
Buyers hesitate when they cannot tell whether a fixture suits the room. The calculators answer that on the page, which removes the single most common reason a high value fixture sits in a cart and never converts.
Product SEO across the catalog plus an editorial layer that captures buyers earlier in the decision, then routes them into the right collection.
